Spurtability scrapping

I believe I have spurtability when it comes to scrapbooking!  I have a spurt when I actually make it down to the scrappy nook and get a ton of pages done...then I have one like this that sits for a while until I actually have a little time to do something I actually enjoy!
So.....this page came from some magic pics from our Disney photo CD.  They make a pose and then add the special magic into it - in this case, it was Simba.  Pretty cool, if you ask me.  Or if you ask Halleigh....it is probably super duper cool!
Here's a closeup of the lion.  I colored him with my copics.  I was mostly pleased with how it turned out.  I kept pretty true to the colors of Simba.
By the way, we took Halleigh to see the movie.  She loved it, of course.  We've been listening to the music, so she elbowed me every time one of the songs came on!

Supplies:  Studio Calico Mind the Gap kit, Zoo Review stamp set, baker's twine - Stampin Up, yellow ribbon - Crate Paper, buttons - Pebbles, Basic Grey. Markers - Copic

Belle

I must say that this top page was made specifically for my daughter.  We have now seen the Beauty & the Beast show live at Hollywood Studios twice.  She was mesmerized both times and proceeded to sing along with all the songs this time!  She love to sing the songs from the movie!
And here is the official picture of her meeting Belle in her princess dress when we went to eat lunch with all of the princesses.  She had a wonderful time and loved every moment of the character dinings!

Tree of Life

I made these two pages to go next to each other in the album.  I had two 5X7 pictures and I honestly debated putting them on the same page, but in the end I decided they both needed to be separate.
For this top page, I used Pink Paislee mistables for the tree and scallop.  I used the same piece of Sassafrass lass paper on both pages.
It already had this great scalloped border on the right edge, so just left it there and added a sheer, peach ruffled ribbon to it.  I couldn't resist adding some foldies to the page also.

Kits:  Studio Calico, Sweet Peach Crop Shop
Other supplies:  Blue rhinestones, Lemonade Mr. Huey (SC), Solid colored paper for photo mats (SU)

Star Wars duo

Halleigh is a daddy's girl 100%.  Which means that before we even got to Hollywood Studios, she decided one of her tasks for the day was to hunt down the Star Wars ride to take her daddy on.  Mind you, she hid her eyes for most of the ride because it was too scary....but she was proud to ride it with her daddy!  They had to get a photo op on the storm trooper thing, too.  Don't ask me what it is....I am not a fanatic!

Nap Time * Parade Time

I squeezed 8 pictures onto this 2-page layout so I could get all these parade pics in.  I kept the layout pretty simple so that the pictures wouldn't get too lost in the layout.
Here's the first side - it has 3 3X5 pics on the left and 3 3X3 pics on the right.  I put a ribbon down the center and tied some ribbons to that for an easy accent.
Here's the right side of the page - I typed my journaling and added some brads above and below.   I used some leftover pieces from my CTMH paper kit to make some tags to create the title.

Gotcha!

I used the Studio Calico Sunday Sketch to make this page.  I loved the picture of us both kissing our daughter in front of the big picture spot at Epcot, so I decided to title this "Gotcha!"  I used the number border to kind of remind you of the count that a photographer usually gives you before he takes the picture and added the little camera stamp to focus on the photo spot, also.

That Cute Little Belly

Well, I don't usually point things like this out, but I couldn't resist with these pictures!  It was just so funny to see Jasmine standing up as tall as possible so she would look really skinny, and our daughter, who had outgrown her Jasmine outfit, proud as a peacock of her belly sticking out.  Too cute!

Learning Fun

I scraplifted this page from a recent Northridge Publishing magazine focusing on families.  I just loved the simplicity of the layout and the fact that it had enough spots for 3 photos!

3X

I used the sketch along Tuesday sketch from Frosted Designs for this page.  I tried to keep it simple since I was using some flourishes from Basic Grey.
I didn't want them or the seahorse to get lost in lots of patterned paper, so I stayed with the blue/orange color scheme in the pictures.  I added my journaling around the edges of the blue mat.  You see the 3 in the paper clip and at the bottom - we were stuck at Nemo for 3 rides in a row before I finally convinced my daughter that there might be other fun things for us to see at Epcot!

10 Things

Crop Suey is having a challenge to use lots of numbers, so I thought this paper from My Mind's Eye would be great for it.  It was full of numbers, so it went well well with the 10 things I love about you title/journaling card.
I got the majority of the items here out of my latest Glee Club kit from Studio Calico.  I was pretty pleased with all the bright colors.  At first it seemed to be too much, so with a few lime green mats and a triangle of button clusters, I think the page pulled together for a bright, happy page with a rare pic of me and my hubby together (no kiddos!).

At Disney....everything you can imagine is real!

Here we go with the Disney pics.  We opted to get the Photopass this time, since we were there for 5 days.  What a fantastic deal!  I highly reccommend it to all scrappers and photo lovers!  We have more pictures of us as a couple and as a family than we have had in the last 2-3 years as a result!  Here are a few pics we got while our little princess was sleeping.

Sweet

I've had this sketch sitting in my stash for a week or two, so I thought I'd put it to work today with my new Studio Calico kit.  This is one of the add-ons to their Glee Club kit.  I didn't want to forget how delightful some of the foods were that we ate on our Disney vacation, so I thought I'd make a page about it.
I used my last Fancy Pants coffee filter for this page.  I added an orange Amy Tan paper clip to the smaller circle and a journaling spot from Sassafrass lass.  The sparkly heart is making memories.

Yum!

Look at these delectable desserts!  This is just a portion of the scrumptious buffet we ate at the Boma restaurant at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  African inspired cuisine, it was all delicious, some of it a little different, but mostly good!  Especially the desserts!
Supplies come from kits from Sweet Peach Crop Shop and Studio Calico kits.

Here is the relaxing lobby of the Kidani Village at Animal Kingdom.  In addition to it's glorious beauty, it had great couches for lounging around and constant Disney cartoons for Halleigh (she was in heaven!).   Our whole entire stay at the Animal Kingdom village was glorious!

Supplies come from the Mind the Gap kit from Studio Calico.  Additional items - trim by Crate Paper, Prima flower, Making Memories sticker, Tasteful Trims diecut by Sizzix for Stampin Up.

Using paper strips

ScrapFIT is having a paper strips challenge, so I thought I'd use some on this page.  I took several strips of paper from my Studio Calico kits from the last 3 months and made this page. I had these clear plastic clouds from Heidi Swapp that I've had for years, so I decided they would just look perfect on this page!

Well, I'm not only excited about Labor Day weekend, I'm excited for time to scrap! I have either had feast or famine lately in my scrappy times - this week has been a famine.....I had to get clothes/toys ready for our children's consignment sale that's going on.  We are doing really well - we've made more money than we spent so far, but.....golly gee.....it took all of my free time this past week!  Hence, I'm looking forward to this Back to School Crop & Hop at Sweet Peach Crop Shop Blog!
So here is my one whopping page that I have completed in the past week!  I used some elements of my Sweet Peach Crop Shop kit and a Studio Calico kit to complete this page from the Animal Kingdom Lodge.
We stopped in the lodge to pick up our tickets and took some time to just enjoy the activities before checking in.  It was a really cool spot to stay!
